Why work at Headcases? I was blessed to begin my career at Headcases as an apprentice. I got to have a double learning experience from school, and then amazing mentors in the salon. There are endless education opportunities, and I am encouraged to show my creativity each and every day.
When your not doing hair your? I am a yoga instructor and student. I love spontaneous road trips or adventurous hikes in the woods with my husband, daughter and dog.
What makes you happy as a stylist? I love developing relationships, building a great bond with someone and see them look at themselves with that ‘I feel awesome’ then I know I did my job!
What’s your approach with new clients? A good consultation! I want to figure out their likes and dislikes, what they are looking to get out of the experience. Then create a custom style just for them.
Any hair textures or lengths you really love to work with? I love a full head of long hair…but who doesn’t? It is always great to show someone with thin hair that they have options.
What’s your main goal for your clients? To learn their hair and lifestyle so that I can prescribe the appropriate hair solution for them. I want to find the right balance so their hair is stress free for them. If the client feels good, I feel good!
What are some of your sources of hair inspiration? Pantone, nature, runway. Inspiration is all around.
Describe your personnel style… It is a rare thing to see me in anything but black. I Channel; Audrey Hepburn and a little ‘Emilie’ edge to it.
What advice would you give someone in a hair rut? Don’t make any big changes until you are sure you are ready! Look up some inspo pics…start a board. Work together with your stylist, she can help create what's in your head.
